Are you afraid of flying, dogs, cats or travelling on motorways?
Do you feel afraid at getting into lifts or being in high places?
Is it now clear to you that you have to overcome your phobia?
Do you need professional hypnotherapy help to gain back control of those fears?
People turn up at my practice with all sorts of phobias: from social phobias to fear of flying, lifts, going underground, bridges, fear of heights, open spaces, closed spaces, fear of insects, dogs, cats, the dark, relationships and so on.
A phobia can take many forms and a person can become phobic of almost anything at any time of their life.
The phobic reaction is an inappropriate response to a stimulus that was at one time an appropriate response to a situation. However, the old response is now no longer appropriate to present-day situations.
It is a bit like trying to use an old program on your computer that you used to use on a computer 10 years ago: either it does not work at all or it seriously interrupts with the running of your current computer.
Of course, people come in saying they don’t know why they have a particular phobia, but at a deep unconscious level, you do know.
Is your phobia limiting what you do, where you go or restricting your opportunities?
The unconscious does not forget what it perceives as a dangerous situation and does its best to guide you away from such situations in the future, even if sometimes the danger is no longer there, as in a phobia.
When the old stimulus appears, like a dog, train, bus, lift and so on, you flip over into the flight or fight response because you perceive you are facing danger.
Without even delving to that extremely deep unconscious level, phobias of all kinds, including social phobias can be alleviated quickly with hypnosis, systematic desensitisation, reframing, and lots of ego-strengthening.
Hypnotherapists are trained to help you disconnect the old switch that is triggered by the old stimulus so you do not go into the phobic response.
When you’re suffering your inappropriate phobic reaction you tend to think that you are the only person in the world but you are not. You’re not alone. It is very common.
Do you think you are the only one experiencing your phobia?
People from all walks of life experience different kinds of phobias at different times of their lives, get help, and get past them to lead a full and rewarding life.
Treatment for phobias can be done very successfully using hypnotherapy.
Many millions of people before you have resolved their phobias and gone on to live an unrestricted life. I have also seen more than a thousand people in my clinics who have experienced overcoming fear, particularly with hypnotherapy.
You can overcome your phobia with hypnotherapy just like others before you
I am also, being a naturopath, I take a more naturalistic approach and avoid medications in my treatment for phobias, although I may sometimes prescribe some calming herbs but generally, with overcoming phobias, even those are not needed.
I am reminded of a woman who came to see me who had not left her house for 10 years from fear of open spaces.
It took six relatives and several hours to get her into the car to come to my office for hypnotherapy. She did everything I asked her and the second time I saw her she was planning an around-the-world holiday. Yes, things can change that quickly.
A thing is only hard to do when you don’t know how to do it, or don’t know how not to do it, or you don’t know how to not know how to do it.
So don’t suffer unnecessarily from your old phobic reaction. It is a waste of your life.
Take action now to get hypnotherapy treatment for your phobia and set yourself free.
