Teeth grinding hypnosis (AHA) helps you get control over your jaw movement. My people have been through my clinics over the years and stopped the habit.
I am a highly trained medical and dental hypnotist.
You may even get some health fund rebates.
As I am also a clinical naturopath (ANPA) I look at the physical as well as the psychological causes of the problem. It’s important to be thorough in the reason for your problem.
Many clinicians are just trying to treat the symptoms not the cause which ends up with you on an expensive merry-go-round where the symptoms keep coming back.
Why do I grind my teeth?
It can arise for a biological cause when your hormones are unbalanced, and your cortisol is too high because you are highly stressed. The more stressed you get the more you grind your teeth.
Certain medications can cause you to grind your teeth and hold your jaw too tight. They may even have caused damage to your body that then leads to that behaviour.
You may have a misaligned jaw that causes you to constantly fight in your oral area to get your teeth to come together properly.
Anxiety, post-traumatic stress and mental illness can all cause you to hold a great amount of tension in your body and particularly in your jaw area.
Why do treatments fail?
Treating a symptom alone often does not resolve a medical problem.
You may have spent a lot of money on teeth guards, dental implants, or even surgery but you still have the problem because you are still grinding your teeth. You can’t wear those guards all day long.
Despite all the treatment you may still be taking medication that is amplified the drive to grind. Doctors often don’t warn you this could happen.
Your sleep patterns may be disturbed, disrupted and you may be going through angry and frustrating emotions while you sleep. This leads you to clenching your jaw for most of the night.
Why use an integrated approach?
Everything about you is interconnected.
- What you eat and drink
- Any Nutritional deficiencies
- Any poisons
- Consider Medications you are taking
- How you sleep
- Your exercise or lack of it
- Lifestyle and work stress
- Mental state
So, I take all of these into consideration in formulating a treatment specifically for you as an individual.
