So you want to stop smoking?
Is that today, tomorrow or the day after?
Do you need qualified, professional, expert help to stop smoking?
Are you now ready to stop smoking with hypnotherapy?
As a mental health professional who trains other therapists in addiction recovery, I do not have enough words to tell you what a pleasure it has been to have helped many people stop smoking cigarettes, tobacco, pipes, cigars and vaping during my career over the decades. It has been a complete honour. And I still do this today in my Sydney clinic.
What if I’m a long-term smoker?
Among the people I help are most certainly those who never, ever thought they could stop smoking before they tried hypnotherapy for stopping smoking.
People who had smoked for 40, 50 and sometimes 60 years have so quickly become non-smokers – and you can too.
For many, many years, hypnotherapy has undoubtedly been one of the leading methods to help people who want to stop smoking. I am kept busy throughout the year with people who come to see me to stop smoking in Sydney.
Will I put on weight if I give up smoking?
One of the main concerns some people have is that they will replace smoking with eating and put on weight.
You will not put on weight if you are treated correctly and issues around healthy eating are also addressed.
Food, like anything else, can be an addiction for some people and the whole point of stopping smoking is to become healthier in many ways you live your life, including eating well.
How many sessions will I need to quit smoking?
Primarily I see people first of all for a two-hour session, which includes the consultation and treatment and I always see people for a one-hour follow-up session (there is no good medicine without follow-up).
For most people, this is all they need. Occasionally someone may need an extra session, but that is quite unusual.
Lots of clients ask me on the telephone how long it will take, and I tell them that I work with hypnosis and cognitive behaviour therapy and that the treatment is ended when we achieve the behavioural change. Therefore we are aiming towards 100% effectiveness.
I often see clients who fly from abroad and across Australia to my clinic in Sydney for help in stopping smoking, and only manage to get to see me for the first session. In such cases I will make exceptions and see a person for one session at my clinic and then do a follow-up session over the telephone or by Skype.
You will also be given a recording made in the session, to take home with you, which extends the treatment program and adds to its effectiveness.
People are often surprised and thrilled at how effective hypnotherapy is in helping them to stop smoking, and the funny thing is, I often get people telephoning me two, three or several years later who knew someone who knew someone who came to see me.
Stopping smoking is one of the most positive health benefits you can do in your life. Hypnotherapy makes that possible.
What if I have other addictions?
I often see people with multiple addictions in which case we tackle each addiction at a time. We work methodically and thoroughly which is why our success rate is so high and long-lasting.
Remember I have helped thousands of people cease addictions and stop smoking.
This is one of my area areas of specialty that I work with every day in the clinic. Not only that but I also teach other hypnotherapists how to help clients stop addictions.
Some people may come into the clinic with several addictions all stacked on top of each other, having had no previous help. You are no different from them and can be helped just the same to stop smoking and any other addictions.
When you are making such a life change you need to be clear in your mind you are getting the best help you can.
You do deserve that don’t you?
Can’t I just give up smoking in an hour?
Of course you may have seen adverts purporting to help people stop smoking in one hour. But remember that in changing your life with something as big as stopping smoking it is important to give yourself the right professional help to make that change and time to ingrain that change deep into your unconscious mind. One hour is unlikely to do that for most people.
When I work with people to help them stop smoking I use hypnotic methods that produce extremely high rates of success.
Of course that requires you to commit more time to the process but the results are far greater and long-lasting.
I am a results therapist. I want my clients to get the best, effective results. I never compromise on the quality or service I offer.
