I give you very clear instructions on what I want you to do and the changes I want you to make. Everything I prescribe I give a full copy in writing, so you understand. I may even work with some of your existing practitioners.
My Experience
I hold a Degree in Complementary Medicine, , Advance Diploma in Clinical Naturopathy, Advance Diploma in Nutritional Medicine and Western Herbal Medicine, and a Degree, Post-graduate Diploma and Doctorate in Mental Health. I am also a clinical psychotherapist, counsellor, clinical hypnotherapist (AHA) and PACFA Registered Mental Health professional (you may get health-fund rebates), researcher and trainer. My career began when we opened a chain of health clubs in 1971.
I studied biology, biochemistry, immunology, clinical medicine, psychology and physical manipulation at Derby University (UK), Open University (UK), Australian Institute of Applied Sciences and Charles Sturt University (AUS). Whilst I operated from a science informed basis it is important to remember that we also work using methods that have been successful for thousands of years.
I’ve seen tens of thousands of patients in my clinics at the London Medical Centre and the Australian health and Education center. I worked in the National Health and private sector in the UK, in the private sector in Australia and you can consult me from anywhere in the world on-line.
Why am I sick?
You’re sick because your body’s no longer working in coordination. It needs to be like an orchestra with each organ working with the others in synchronicity.
Injuries, infections and disorders lead to chronic infection and inflammation.
You may have genetic differences which we may have to compensate for so we may order a genetic profile and other tests.
If your diet is poor, you will be chronically ill. That’s a fact.
Perhaps you had a physical injury and insufficient or incomplete rehabilitation. This can include work injuries that have become chronic.
Your mental health has a profound effect upon your physical health. This is why I take a global approach to medicine and help you to fix both, so you are working like an orchestra in coordination.
Naturopathic approach to healing and good health
The first session I ask you hundreds of questions and consider and previous reports you may have. I might examine you physically. Medicine needs to be 95% observation and 5% remediation.
We could order a range of any tests I consider appropriate for you. The information they can give us both adds to the observation or rules out contributing factors.
I may prescribe herbs for any condition or infection you may have.
Since I will take your full dietary history at the first session, I will suggest changes and supplements.
I was a dancer when I was young, working sometimes 80 hours per week. I’ve had so many injuries and recovered from all of them. In my late 60’s I still work you 10 to 14 hours per week. I will suggest biomechanical changes.
The mind influences the body, and the body influences the mind. In health you will change both to support your well-being.
