What is depression?
Are you now seeing the world as dark, grey and unstimulating?
Overwhelmed with negativity and sadness?
Feel you just don’t want to get out of bed in the morning?
There are two kinds of depression: endogenous and exogenous.
Endogenous depression is when you are suffering from bodily imbalances, for example hormonal disruptions, being post-partum, menopause, andropause, effects of operations or illness, addiction, disease, toxicity or malnutrition. Your family doctor or psychiatrist is unlikely to investigate this.
The second kind is reactive depression when you have had trauma, a shock or your life circumstances are looking bleak and you are withdrawing within yourself.
Both kinds of depression are related because one always leads to the other. In other words, the natural biological and mental feedback loop that creates good mental health becomes disturbed and dysfunctional.
The use of medication
The reality is the medication for depression has not been properly tested and are largely ineffective. Most studies were carried out by the pharmaceutical companies that make billions of dollars profit from those medications. They can do four hundred studies, they only have to submit two to the drug licensing agencies.
Side effects can increase depression, lower your intelligence and ability to think, impotence, psychosis, suicidal thoughts and do not deal with the root of your problem physically and mentally.
But doctors don’t tell you that because you might not take them and that can get them into trouble. Many are also invested in drug companies receive financial incentives to prescribe those medications.
Blocking the reuptake of serotonin alone does not solve depression. It’s a scam. Being depressed affects so many of your body systems so everything must be treated in a wholistic way to get your body back and mind back into balance.
Why are so many people depressed?
Depression used to be called melancholia. It’s a natural mood state, sometimes is okay to feel sad. But the drug companies discovered if they called it “depression” they could sell a pill and tell people and doctors it would cure it.

In an industrialised and post-industrialised society people get stressed. We work so many hours, travel ridiculous distances and are obsessed with consumerism. To have everything takes you away from your basic living experiences and causes our families to break-up.
When you separate use from nature, which is where we are genetically programmed to heal, we become sick. We end up feeling like crap – not tall enough, short enough, thin enough, fat enough, rich enough so the self-deprecating dialogue goes on.
Why do I need to change physically?
Deeply persistently sad states create inflammation in the brain, upset the performance of the hypothalamus, pituitary and adrenal gland (HPT) access. It also lowers your immune system and disturbs the good and bad bacterial balance in your gut. (dysbiosis).
Since you are in and extended stressed state you are either nutritionally deficient or become nutritionally deficient. We are not talking about calories here but vitamins, minerals and amino acids. I will prescribe what you need.
I also order tests to check how your body is dysfunctional so we can make the appropriate changes. Just guessing is not good enough or scientific.
Depression needs to be treated. If left to get worse, it can lead to thoughts of suicide. You will get all the work I ask you to do in writing so we are all on the same page and you know exactly what you need to be doing between sessions.
Helping you come off medication

You may find that scary. You may have been told you cannot or should not ever come off the medication. Staying on it, however, will produce unwanted side effects.
