You are looking for hypnotherapy to help overcome addiction.
Addictions come in many forms including drugs, alcohol, gambling, sugar, coffee, sex, pornography, work, overeating and in some people, seeking drama. That’s not a judgement – simply a fact.
I have helped tens of thousands of people change their behaviours and their lives for good. I am a specialist in addiction.
All addictions may have different reasons for happening but they are all characterised by the same kind of uncontrolled repetitive, self-destructive out-of-control behaviours.
You run internal mind chatter in your head like, “I know I shouldn’t but I just can’t help myself”. And you have bought into that story.
You may have tried to break the addiction consciously but failed time and time again so now you feel quite helpless and know you need professional help.
Hypnotherapy can help break old addictions and install new good behaviours
None of your behaviours are run by your conscious mind.
All behaviours are driven by unconscious programming that is out of your awareness.
There is a process to installing behaviours and it runs in this order:
Consciously incompetent: You know you are unable to do something
Unconsciously incompetent: You are not aware that you are unable to do something
Unconsciously competent: You are not aware that you ARE able to do something
Consciously competent: You know you ARE able to do something
You can only do a behaviour or skill consciously and competently when your unconscious mind knows how to do that and lets your conscious mind know you are able.
Think of it this way:
You can use your computer programs because the software was written to create the program.
Your unconscious mind is the part of you that contains the software so to change your programming, we must change your software – got it?
Hypnotherapy changes your brain
When you break a bone it is set and heals. When you cut your skin it joins together within a week.
Your body is very good at regenerating.
So is your brain. Its plasticity means it can be molded according to what information it is fed and how it is taught to process that information.
Nothing you think or do is forever so your mind is highly adaptable for change and regeneration. In fact it welcomes change so you can adapt to new circumstances and information.
No behaviours or addictions are ever permanent because your unconscious mind can be retrained at any time of your life to drive your behaviours differently.
Hypnotherapy is used to communicate with your unconscious mind
This is where hypnotherapy comes in because we use hypnosis to talk to your unconscious mind to reprogram the unconscious mind – fast!
During the relaxed state of hypnosis, your conscious mind moves aside so we can make suggestions to and negotiate directly with your unconscious mind, breaking old habits.
I am a behaviouralist and help you delete old behaviours and install new ones.
It does not matter what the addiction is or how long you have had it, I am trained as a clinical hypnotherapist to help you unconsciously change your behaviours – fast!
It doesn’t take long to change behaviours and break addictions.
