Hypnosis for public speaking is a regular part of my work helping people get over the anxiety and fear of public speaking. I’ve helped many clients be better public speakers in my clinics.
Hypnotherapy is really effective in helping you have the confidence and skills to speak and give presentations.
As a public speaker, teacher and presenter myself of more than 50 years, theatrical performer, and workshop leader it’s what I do all the time.
Being a public speaker and hypnotherapist, you can be sure I can help you prepare for speaking, events and meetings.
I’ve helped many managers, sales people, professional speakers, stage actors, politicians and TV and film personalities.
With the right package you may even get health-fund rebates.

Fear of public speaking
It’s said that the fear of public speaking is right up there with the fear of death.
You may get overwhelmed and afraid about speaking in public.
1. Your pulse gets faster and you get short of breath or hold your breath
2. Your heart feels like it’s jumping out of your chest
3. You begin to perspire and get red in the face and hot under the collar
4. You get dizzy and disorientated
5. You lose track of your thoughts and forget what you were going to say
6. You think everyone’s looking at you and judging you
7. You just want to run out of the room and panic
8. You have a sense you’ll never be able to speak in public and you’ll never be able to master speaking in public.
The good news is all the above can be helped with hypnotherapy to turn you into a confident public speaker.
The need to be a confident public speaker
Never confuse confidence with arrogance. Just because someone is confident, it doesn’t mean they’re conceited.
Being confident is a good thing as it comes from a place of deep relaxation and communication skills.
As a mid-teenager I trained as a speaker at college.
Being a dancer, I was obsessed with Tchaikovsky’s music and his ballets and used to do talks about his work. It was my passion and I used to practice presenting to next door’s cat.
When I came to do the talks, I knew so much about him that it came naturally and of course with enthusiasm so people would be engaged, even if they had no interest in classical music. I came across as confident because I was fully engaged.
Since then, as a professional I’ve spoken on health, mental health, sexology, social justice and being successful in business, both academically and in the corporate spaces.
All these subjects I have studied extensively. In fact, one of the core lessons, I teach speakers is to speak about what you know and know what you’re speaking about.

Public speaking skills
Good public speaking is about confidence and skill. Confidence alone is not enough.
My voice coach used to stand me at one end of her long hallway on a box and make me recite Shakespeare at the top of my voice so she could hear me at the bottom of her garden. This meant when I was in the theatre, the audience members in the gallery could hear me.
So I also teach you the skills of being a good communicator so you can also read your audience and react to feedback.
Public speaking is an interactive process not just a one-way delivery from you to the people listening to you.
Your need good presentation skills
There’s an ever-increasing need for you to have good presentation skills as you climb the corporate ladder, advance in academia, public office or the nonprofit space, or if you have to sell the product your business supplies.
It’s not just about how good you are at what you do but also how well you promote how good you are.
You can’t get away with just posting on the net or sending an email as sooner or later you have to get in a room with people and sell your ideas and knowledge to them.
The best thing is to get ahead of the game, upskill and build your speaking and presenting muscles.
Remember, it’s not what you sell but the way you sell it that gets your point across.
Where are you at with presenting?
You may have been okay with public presentations but then something happened and you lost your confidence.
Perhaps you’ve never spoken publicly before and the thought of putting yourself in front of others terrifies you.
You could be one of those people who are okay presenting on stage but are terrified at speaking to small groups or in meetings.
It doesn’t matter where you are. When I assess you, we start from that point forward to help you build your public speaking skills fast.

What I teach you about public speaking
This page is not long enough to tell you everything.
Basically, you have to train, learn the skills, be able to read a room and know what to say as well as what not to say.
Everything about you needs to be genuine. Never sell anything you don’t believe in. Audiences will sniff you out if you’re inauthentic.
Choose the best to learn from for good public speaking because it saves you decades of time.
Hypnosis will train you to speak in your own confident voice
Hypnotherapy is powerful in helping you establish a positive, confident mindset that a good public speaker needs.
Hypnosis reaches deep down into your unconscious mind, reduces that fear response and enables you to experience skills to help you feel calm and confident when you come to speak.
Just as important, however, is knowing the right skills to use or add to your basket of tools, which I also teach in the sessions.
Just as with any other skills, you need to know the elements that make up the competency of speaking as it’s a learned skill and craft.
It’s really the hypnotherapy that helps us speed up the process of you becoming a confident public speaker.
Hypnotic suggestions reach right down into your unconscious mind so you use the skills you need to feel confident in your presentations and public speaking.
