Yes hypnosis can help you! Many people have problems with their sexual impulse control. Sometimes it can be physiological – maybe you are very high with oestrogen at a particular time of the month, or perhaps you may be very high in testosterone if you are a male.
And that makes you want sex a lot of the time.
Sometimes it may lead to you behaving inappropriately and you may get into trouble or upset people.
For some people lack of sexual impulse control may have a psychological basis.
Perhaps you were not taught good sexual boundaries when you were young and you do not have a sense of when your behaviour is appropriate or inappropriate around sexual issues.
The biological sexual urge is a completely natural, normal and healthy impulse and more than that, it is very enjoyable too. Without that impulse none of us would be here and the human race would go into extinction.
Human beings, however, are complex creatures living within sophisticated human relationships, family and social orders. Therefore there is need for us to regulate our sexual impulse to live well within those dynamics and failure to do so can give rise to potential disaster.
Sexual impulse is generally highest for males from 16 to the early 20s, although males do not mature until they are in their 20s when they can negotiate sexual relationships better.
Females tend to become more sexual from their late teens to late 30s.
In both cases sexual desire begins to decline as hormones decline but social factors around the permissibility and availability of sexual mores also come into play.
As individuals we can also become troubled by unruly sexual impulses at times of our lives when we may need to focus on other areas. Sex must always be balanced within so many contexts in which we live our lives.
If you have sex within that appropriate context for you, life can be richly rewarding for you. So hypnosis has the ability along with sex therapy to help you place your sexual impulses with good boundaries so you can enjoy life and sex fully.
