Let’s look at what cancer is to start. Cancer is the uncontrolled growth of cells that is caused by toxicity. This can be brought on by exotoxins, microbial invasion, malnutrition and lowering of the body’s defence systems that would, under normal circumstances, kill cancer cells.
Cancer is a devastating illness and many of us during our lifetime may get some form of it. When you are recovering from cancer, you may choose what treatment you undergo. That treatment can be radiotherapy or chemotherapy.
You may not choose any of those but go for a more natural approach, and that is your right and your choice. You may also need psychological help.
Few things contribute to cancer more than stress.
In fact the onset of many cancers can be traced back to an earlier traumatic incident where the person was under great stress. When you experience stress two systems in the body shut down: digestion and immune system.
When digestion shuts down, the body fails to take in the appropriate macro and micronutrients required to keep the body working well. This means there are not enough nutrients to keep the liver in good condition and toxins build up in the body and cannot be eliminated.
Therefore the body has to deposit those toxins somewhere and the emerging cancer is the place. Hypernutrition with concentrated nutrients can help alleviate some forms of cancer.
Your immune system contains cells called natural killer cells that attack cancer cells. These are the first line of defence against cancer cells.
When the body is under stress natural killer cells are present in smaller amounts. While cell stress initiates them into action, systemic body stress inhibits their action so you are unable to kill cancer cells.
In other words just when you need the immune system to kick in, stress prevents it from doing so.
Experiments and scientific reporting have clearly showed that the use of hypnosis, visualisation and active imagination reduces stress in the body and can increase immune function.
This switches the natural immune system back on which can take stress off the liver, allowing to do its job of detoxification.
Hypnosis can help you raise your immune response; it can help you remain calm during treatment; it can help you be more optimistic and accommodating with your outlook for the future.
So whether you are undergoing, chemotherapy, radiotherapy or choose to deal with the cancer through naturopathic medicine, hypnosis can help you through your cancer experiences, tolerate treatments and help you towards good outcomes and wellness.
