Are you someone who procrastinates?
Does procrastination hold you back?
Have you lost out on endless opportunities?
Are other people bored with your inability to make a decision?
Hypnosis by a well-qualified hypnotherapist can help you change the way you think as well as changing your behaviours so you can stop procrastinating.
You may be surprised to know that there are different kinds of procrastinators. People may procrastinate for different reasons. This means during the hypnotherapy sessions we need to look at what kind of procrastinator you are and design therapy to help you overcome those negative mindsets.
You may have never have been taught as a child how to run good decision-making skills in your mind. Perhaps for some reason your parents or teachers did not have those abilities to teach you in the first place, or maybe they neglected to teach you those skills.
Maybe you feel you are out of your depths in life and you have convinced yourself that making no decision is better than making the wrong decision.
If this is the case I already know things have not been going well for you because we are faced with life decisions we have to make every day and if we do not make them, we are unable to engage with life positively.
Perhaps you suffered a trauma and retreated into your shell like a snail when he or she thinks they are threatened. If the result of this is that you procrastinate when you need to make important decisions, then you have not overcome the trauma and need to deal with that unfinished business in your life.
Certainly, if you are someone who procrastinates in the workplace you will not do well in your job or career.
Employers do not want to give responsibility to an employee who is unable to make a good, balanced decision, take responsibility and create good outcomes.
Families too fail to take procrastinators seriously. You begin to be seen as unreliable, odd, and not properly contributing to the family’s wellbeing and cohesion. Those people may love you because you are their family but ultimately they may get bored with continually looking after someone who appears to refuse to look after themselves.
Certainly, all forms of procrastination are a form of mild or deep depression.
Procrastination is the inability to adapt to your environment and deal with the realities of life. A mentally healthy person can weigh up the odds of a situation and make a competent decision they can live in the short and long term.
Every decision you make in life will not always turn out for the best but if you made the decision well, you can celebrate your many successes and live with the poor decisions.
In therapy I not only teach you to be a better decision-maker but also, with hypnotherapy, help you substitute your old, poor thought and behaviour patterns in your unconscious mind with new ones to help you be a better decision-maker.
This can improve your life dramatically because the experiences you have in life are influenced by the decisions you have made.
So, if you want a better life, avoiding decision-making is not an option. Good, clear, decisive decision-making is a necessity.
